Shayne and Jake met during their freshman year at Penn State, in the spring of 2017. They became fast friends and by their sophomore year they were inseparable. If you knew Shayne, you knew Jake and vice versa. Jake asked Shayne to be his girlfriend in the summer of 2018. Shayne and Jake continued dating as they studied abroad in their junior year of college—Shayne to Tel Aviv and Jake to London. They enjoyed visiting each other, and even took a trip to Greece. Shayne and Jake loved Mykonos so much that they later named their French Bulldog Myka. While the end of their senior year got derailed, Shayne and Jake made the best of it by quarantining together in State College, PA. After graduation, Shayne and Jake moved into their first apartment together in New York City. On June 10, 2023, Jake surprised Shayne by asking her to marry him at Summit One Vanderbilt!
